Body scan meditations are a great way to relax and are the perfect solution to anxiety and stress. As you work your way through each body part, from your toes to the tip of your head, the stress and tension kept inside your body slowly start to melt away.

Our bodies are where many of us store stress, tension, and trauma. Many of us are so busy we do not have time to check in and see how our bodies are tense, sore, or tight. Our 20 Minute Guided Body Scan Meditation is designed to give you the time and focus to scan your body and release these tense areas.

We have also found that it is easier for many to maintain mindfulness and meditative attention as their focus scan from one body part to the next.

The music was created by Aaron J. Cunningham. His intention was to form a basis of a droney bass tone which builds and swells. Upon this foundation, he creates lush strings and a repetitive landscape of synth sounds. Careful detail was placed on each note and sound, listen as each sound modulates and builds into the next ones. The intention here is to be repetitive without getting boring, therefore allowing the mind to stay engaged without being too active. The guided meditation was read by Stacie Ant.

We also created a version that does not have the guided meditation, just the music (see below). We found that there was about a 50/50 split between people who wanted meditation music vs. people who wanted a guided meditation so we thought “hey why not do both?”
